The electric FGD flue gas damper gate is used mainly in the flue gas desulfurization systems of thermal power plants, to isolate the flue gas flow. It can also be used in other flue and air ducts where the isolation requirement is high.
The gate is of louvre construction, and the blade can be of the single-blade or double-blade type. The double-blade gate requires a sealing air system and is designed for zero leakage. The single-layer blade gate needs no sealing air system and is designed for a sealing efficiency of not less than 90 %.
The quick-opening gate is used for the bypass position of the flue gas desulfurization system. It opens without any external power source in less than 2 seconds.
The electric FGD flue gas damper gate has two functions, fully open and fully closed, with an opening and closing angle of 90°.
Points to note when selecting
- The dimensions W and L shown on the drawing are the internal dimensions of the damper frame, where W is the dimension perpendicular to the damper. Please provide the duct cross-section dimensions when ordering. In the duct layout the damper shaft should be kept horizontal; for a horizontal rectangular duct, list the height and width separately.
- When selecting and ordering, provide the relevant data and requirements to the manufacturer and obtain the selection data from the manufacturer.
- The manufacturer builds and supplies to the nominal diameter of the flue and air duct determined by the desulfurization system design. Ten sizes are included in the current series; sizes outside the series can be designed and ordered to the buyer's requirement.
- The manufacturer should provide: the sealing efficiency of the gate in the fully closed position; the driving torque of the gate; the sealing air volume required and its conditions when a sealing air system is used; and the resistance coefficient of the gate in the fully open position.
- If a matching flange is required in the system design, state this clearly at the time of ordering so that the manufacturer supplies it as a pair.
